Hosting and Accessibility

This Privacy Policy is hosted on our verified domain sqlcell.com, where SQL Cell’s homepage is also hosted. The Privacy Policy is linked directly from the homepage and can be accessed through the Google Workspace Marketplace listing for SQL Cell.

Overview of Data Handling

SQL Cell is designed to run entirely in your browser. All processing, including query execution and analysis, is performed locally in your browser using DuckDB-WASM.

  • No External Data Storage: SQL Cell does not store or transmit any of your data to external servers.
  • No Visibility of User Actions: We do not track, collect, or monitor any user actions performed within the add-on.
  • Minimal Permissions: SQL Cell only requests the necessary Google Sheets permissions to insert query results into your active spreadsheet.

Sharing, Transferring, or Disclosing Data

We do not share, transfer, or disclose your information to third parties for purposes other than those provided in this policy. Specifically:

  • SQL Cell does not transfer, sell, or share your data with advertisers or any third-party organizations.
  • SQL Cell does not disclose your data to external entities unless required by law or with your explicit consent.

All operations involving your data occur locally within your browser and are not accessible to SQL Cell or its developers.

Permissions Requested

When installing the SQL Cell add-on, you will be prompted to authorize the following minimal permissions:

  • View and manage spreadsheets that this application has been installed in: This permission allows SQL Cell to write the query results from the browser’s sidebar into the active spreadsheet.

These permissions are solely required to enable the core functionality of the add-on. SQL Cell does not access, modify, or store any data beyond the scope of your active use of the add-on.

Information We Collect

SQL Cell does not collect or store any personally identifiable information or user content from your spreadsheets. All operations and data processing occur locally in your browser environment.

If you contact us directly (e.g., for support or feedback), we may receive additional information such as your name, email address, and the contents of your message. This information is used solely for responding to your inquiries.

Analytics and Tracking

Our Website uses Pirsch.io for anonymous analytics. Pirsch.io does not use cookies or collect personally identifiable information. Analytics data is anonymized and used exclusively to improve the website and user experience.

SQL Cell add-on usage itself is not tracked or monitored.

Retention of Data

Since SQL Cell does not collect or store your data during usage of the add-on, there is no data retention related to your spreadsheet content or queries.

For inquiries or support requests submitted to us directly, we retain correspondence data only as long as necessary to address your concerns or as required by applicable laws.

Since SQL Cell does not process or store any personal data during add-on usage, most privacy rights (such as data access or deletion requests) do not apply to the add-on itself.
