These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of SQL Cell’s website (“Website”) and the SQL Cell Google Workspace add-on (“Service”). By accessing the Website or using the Service, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our Website or Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using our Website or Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and any additional guidelines or future modifications. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Website or Service.

2. Use of the SQL Cell Add-on

We make the following commitments to users of our Google Workspace add-on, SQL Cell:

  • Privacy and Data Protection: While the add-on may request permissions to access the contents of your Google Sheets, this access is necessary to perform the functions you initiate. All processing is done locally in your browser using DuckDB-WASM; we do not collect or transmit your data to any third parties.
  • No Collection of Personal Information: We do not collect any personally identifiable information through the add-on. Usage analytics, if collected, are anonymized and used solely for quality improvement purposes.
  • Intellectual Property: We make no claims to the intellectual property contained within your spreadsheets or any data processed through the add-on.

3. Analytics and Tracking

Our Website uses Pirsch.io for analytics purposes. Pirsch.io does not use cookies or store any data on your device. The analytics data collected is anonymized and used solely to improve our Website and Service. By using our Website, you consent to this non-cookie-based data collection. 4. License

Unless otherwise stated, SQL Cell and/or its licensors own the intellectual property rights for all material on the Website. All intellectual property rights are reserved.

The SQL Cell add-on (“Service”) is licensed to you for use strictly in accordance with these Terms. This license permits you to use a single copy of the Service solely for your personal or internal business purposes.

You agree not to:

  • License, sell, rent, lease, assign, distribute, transmit, host, outsource, disclose, or otherwise commercially exploit the Service.
  • Modify, reverse compile, disassemble, or reverse engineer any part of the Service.

5. Use of Third-Party Services

Connection to Third-Party Services

SQL Cell may enable you to connect with services offered by third-party providers, such as accessing remote databases over HTTP or S3. SQL Cell acts solely as a facilitation tool, providing the technical means to integrate these services into Google Sheets. We do not control or endorse any third-party services, and your use of such services is at your own risk.

User Responsibility

You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for any costs, fees, or charges incurred through the use of third-party services accessed via SQL Cell. This includes, but is not limited to, subscription fees, usage charges, and any other financial obligations arising from such use.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SQL Cell, its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of third-party services through SQL Cell. This includes any violation of the terms of service or privacy policies of those third-party services.

User Acknowledgment

By using SQL Cell to access third-party services, you acknowledge and agree to comply with all applicable terms and policies of those services. SQL Cell is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or policies of any third-party services.

If you find any content or links on our Website objectionable, please contact us with your concerns. While we are not obligated to remove such content, we will consider all requests and take appropriate action where necessary.
